a brief biography of krystov

damien krystov began composing electronic music in 1989 at the age of 14. between 1993 and 2001, he maintained an ongoing solo industrial electronic project entitled "prey to god". in 2001, he dropped that moniker, and embarked on a new journey of electronic expression, which has evolved into a complex hybrid of different musical styles. employing an arsenal of hardware synthesizers, drum machines, and effects processors, guitar, and software synths, samplers, effects processors, and other sound manglers [including custom software that he writes to further explore sonic possibilities], krystov achieves a very emotive and interesting sound that words alone cannot properly describe. it must be experienced to be understood. he calls his music "the soundtrack to my dreams brought to life in my waking hours".
when not in the studio writing and recording his own music, krystov is working with other artists co-writing, producing, engineering, and remixing.
